Here's ol Randy Andy and he has his girls.... He's strutting around with this stupid expression on his face. The ram responds to a ewe in heat by curling his lip. There's actually a name for this lip curling, the "flehmen response." It took me about 2 hours in the rain to get everyone sorted and Andy about 2 seconds to try to mount his first ewe. She wasn't that receptive yet and needs a little coaxing... Diamond Jim has a different strategy....He chases them until they're too tired to resist... Meanwhile Miss Molly decided to dig after a gopher in the rain and was covered in mud from nose to toes and had to go straight into a bath... NOW I need a hot bath and a nap!!!

oh that title made me laugh. my cats do the flehming thing too. they look so stupid then.
