Ati's block...final version

Before

Final
I keep going back to Ati's block searching for what bothers me. I keep adding and filling it to no avail. I finally concluded it was the color of the lettering that struck a wrong note for me. Do I want to take it all out and redo it in a different color...? Yes, but since I need to get on with Lindy's block I am letting Ati's block go on it's way

Diane's Heart 1 block

I could have kept on going with this block but wanted to save a corner and part of the fan for the others. The fabrics in this block were just yummy...and it was special adding Coco, Diane's beloved pet whom she recently lost... Off it goes in the mail.....

Fabulous Fans

Last fall I was in a fan DYB round robin with exceptional stitchers...Cathy, Leslie, Jo, Cobi and Bonnie.
Because the blocks were photographed by different cameras, the color is off but they are all extremely color coordinated.... Now I would like to have these framed by a professional. I still have mine to finish to frame with Jo's but the others I can't decide whether to frame them in sets of 2 or as 4 in a circle.... Help! Any opinion???
Note: The votes for the circle version are unamimous.... My favorite also... But the only thing in my mind in favor of three sets of 2 is that I have 3 granddaughters.... But I have so much needlework they can choose from when I'm gone I guess that point is moot.

Diane's Heart 1 block

One of the nicest parts of belonging to CQI is getting to know other stitchers around the world. Blogs and RRs are really helpful. I like to include motifs that might be of personal interest. Diane recently lost her beloved cat so I used a photo of her cat to use on her block. It only seemed appropriate surround it with forget-me-nots.... especially since her cat has beautiful blue eyes....

Ati's done.. almost

I thought I was done but now that I see it on screen, I am going to add some more flowers to the vines...probably bullions as I need practice with those. If you look closely you can see the underpainting.... Do you think it is effective....?
