Susie herringboned all the seams on the back to make them lay flat.
And now I'm adding the beaded fans, cameos and the very final touches. And making decisions about borders, trims, binding, label, etc.
While she was here Susie was working on a beautiful caddy for the table where she stitches.. It's base is a white cutter quilt and in addition to using lots of lace, she'll be adding steampunk.
I was able to find a pincushion that coordinated with it beautifully.

What fun to have a stitching visitor to spend time with! Love seeing your suffragette quilt coming together ~ simply gorgeous! And Susan's caddy is fabulous!
Your quilt is just gorgeous! I like all the beautiful lace on the caddy Susie is working on also. You two do well together. Stay warm!
this quilt is looking spectacular
What fun to have a stitching party with a good friend. And what fabulous creations! Your pin cushion matches beautifully!
I somehow missed this post. I'm glad Susie posted about her visit so I could come back and look. The quilt looks fabulous. And I love Susie's idea of Steampunk. I really like that style.
I knew the suffragate quilt was going to be fabulous. I can't wait until I see the finished project. I hope you will bring it to the retreat.
We all need a friend like you to keep us on the path when we get stuck. What a great idea Susie has here and how pretty it will be. Can't wait for the Steampunk.
Give a pat to Morris from me.

You both are so lucky to spend time together - two of my favorite stitchers! Both your suffragette quilt and Susie's caddy are looking fine! Wish I could see your quilt in person Gerry.
What a great time the two of you must have had. Your quilt turned out beautifully!
I'd love to join you ladies some day!
The quilt looks wonderful! And thanks to Susie for herringboning all those seams. She's a real PAL!! I love those colors in her runner. That's going to be one lovely piece. Glad you had a friend to help warm the cold days. It makes all the difference in the world, doesn't it?
