Maureen had the cleverest idea for name tags for the CT Adventure... She (or maybe Susan helped) made tiny CQ patches for everyone and sent them out for us to embellish.. They are so beautifully done and all turned so nicely with an organza backing.I worked on my mine yesterday..... have badge, will travel...
Notice the little black shell bird on it. Susan sent me that little bird as a gift and it traveled clear across the country to me from the East coast.... Now the little bird will carry me back across the country with it.
There were specific directions so the finished badge would fit in one of those plastic badge holder...I know that with the lace my badge will not fit in a plastic badge holder but I'm finishing it with a pin on the back and the option for a neck chain.... What can I say... clear back to grammar school I got poor marks for "follows directions".... I always wished they would have had a category for "thinks independently"...
I plan to use my badge FOREVER as my official name tag.... But as I often do I went to bed unhappy with something about it......the black ribbon on the fan... too heavy and competed in size and focus with the button which I wanted to be the focal point...so first thing this morning I took out the black ribbon. I fixed it and hope you can see the difference.

Lovely Gerry! I love that you used one of your beautiful painted rose buttons on it! I actually like the black and wonder if just some peachy pink beads to accent it would do the trick to lighten it up.

Morris the Mover ... hehehe ... I love that dog. We always called our Smokey "the Wonder Dog" because we wondered what he would do next! Love your badge. I can clearly see what the fan change did to it. Love how you teach by example .... and I'm soaking it up.

You were right! The pink bordered with black is much better! Lovely!
I like it so much more with the pink fan too. it all comes together while the black fan stood out on it's own.
