Repurposed!

This week I have been continually searching for things and in the process finding things long forgotten...  One was this old needle book. I always loved the bakelite rose button...perfect for the clasp.

It was too large to carry in my sewing bag so it was shelved and yesterday I repurposed it into a journal cover....perfect!

Below is both front and back....

So nice when you come across something you still like but not quite in that form. I found a couple of art quilts I had made many years ago a couple of weeks ago and since I still like them but don't want to hang them up, I have made one into a tote bag and the other will probably be something similar. The grandkids are out for the weekend and they helped me bake cookies all morning. I must say they are a much bigger help than they used to be.

It is gorgeous and I love it
I am going to learn how to transfer a picture into fabric?
because I am wanting to do a picture album cover of old pictures

I like this - the thought of re-purposing things and creating a new useful life for them is grounded so much in our ancestors. Something we do well to remember in today's times.

So nice to find something you forgot you have. Great idea to turn it into a journal.

Great way to use up those odd squares we all end up with.

Hugs
