Bluebirds and Forget-me-nots...FINISHED

Blue is the keyword for this block and it's my favorite in this series... Of course every block I just finish is my favorite.   These blocks have been a godsend for my life at this moment.  They're small enough to tote around and work on absolutely everywhere ... and everywhere is my life just now.  I am whipping right through the series and this is April.  I decided to start on both May and June simultaneously so I won't fall behind as it looks like I might need more surgery on my injured eye.

This a fabulous book on cottages and I just bought it.  I got it used from Amazon for $1.49 plus $3.99 for shipping.  There were still about 1/2 dozen left at that price.  It is a companion book to the Victorian Gardens which I already have and treasure...  Great inspiration for floral work in CQ.

lovely block, another house and garden I would be more than content to live in. Trust good news on your eye and no op needed.

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear about your eye. I hope things get better for you soon. I do like this block, blue being my favourite colour. But, like you, each block you finish is my favourite.

My goodness, you don't waste any time do you?
I feel so guilty, my blocks are hanging around so long,I have nearly finished my butterfly block and have others in my head.
I love this one, praticularly the little bluebirds.
What size do you make yours?

It's just beautiful. It makes me want to be a little girl and walk right in and have tea and biscuits with my grandma.
Many smiles,

I love the cottage garden series! This block is lovely, and I want to come and visit, and potter in the garden while the bluebird flutter overhead.

Gerry - I've been in awe of your talents for so long and enjoy seeing everything you create. Not just because I love the color blue, I have to say this piece is by far my absolute favorite of yours! Stunning! Gorgeous and so realistic. Hope you are feeling 100% soon.

Gerry, your blocks of English cottages are very lovely. I also bought the same book you have got many years ago with much more price!

Gorgeous block!
The bluebirds look very realistic and dimensional. Did you use felt as base and stitch needle lace on top?
