February CQJP finished

Finished this cedar waxwing last night and will take a break from CQJP to reorganize and get other projects underway.. upcoming birds will be hummingbird, robin on nest, barn owl and swallow.

Hit the thrift shops yesterday and found a few treasures including another revolving shoe rack...What wonderful space savers and organizers they are.  This one is much nicer than the other one I used for thread and ribbon.  I will fix this one for paint bottles.  Who would ever use it for shoes??????

  3. The waxwing is just delightful. A shoe rack would definitely be wasted on me. I have one pair of "good" shoes that I've had for probably 10 years and a couple of pair of runners. We don't go out an about much and I'd rather spend my money on cq things - especially if I can get them at the thrift store. Sometimes that is not such a good thing - I got a skein of Soie Cristale there last year and just used the first precious strands - now I'll just have to save up to get some more :)

  5. Beautiful waxwing! I'm looking forward to the owl too - they're one of my favourites. I must say I've never seen one of those shoe racks - never would have guessed that was what it was for.
