We drove to Seattle (actually Redmond) to see grandchildren this last weekend. It is a 4-5 hour trip depending on traffic and I took this cottage piece with me to finish. Between the car time and hotel time I did finish it except for a few charms which will be added after the frame is created.
That is what I'm working on today from a stash of ginghams, florals, and stripes, etc. Hopefully by the weekend I can have it finished and behind me and then catch up with CQJP....
this is such a petty piece. must have been fun having grandchildren time, such a shame they are so far away.
ReplyDeleteYou are so prolific with your blocks, I need to take lessons from you. Mine hang around for ages. lol. This one is just beautiful.

Well, that turned out just great. Sometimes projects just need to age enough so we can find the right thing to do with them :)
ReplyDeleteWow!!! Love, love, love the framing. Perfect choices of geometrics and florals. Perfect colors .... just fabulous. A total "Gerry Statement"!! It is so you and it made me smile really big!!!

Catch up with CQJP? Whatever does that mean? (it's never going to happen for me)
ReplyDeleteLoving the border and the floral lace with this!
ReplyDeleteSomeday I aspire to do something scenic such as this....I have you for inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThat's progress Ger!! My favorite is the path to the house and the little lace gate. Glad your grandchildren trip went off without a hitch. I'm trying to get back in the saddle myself today. love to you, Susan
ReplyDeleteLove your cottage piece. So colorful and like a painting. I have an unrelated question about Miss Muffet. My childhood nickname was Miss Muffet and have been thinking of doing some blocks with Miss Muffet and spiders and webs. I noticed on some of your old blogs that you had some Miss Muffets. Can you tell me where you found the darling images? Or any help in that category. I have done some printing onto the fabric transfer sheets on my computer. Is that how you did the Miss Muffets?
