Milestone post and alcohol inks

In less than 20 posts it will be my 700th post.... I'm thinking I might celebrate it with a giveaway... I had a little give-away once with my painted buttons but hardly anyone entered... So I'm going to Kerry's and Cathy K's blog and look back at some of theirs.. They had some really clever options for entering and then I have to decide what to give away... probably something besides painted buttons as they generated little interest..
Besides a cruise...any suggestions...? What are the favorite things you see in other give-aways??? I'll have to give it some thought today while cleaning house....yes, occasionally I relent and do it... Had the kitchen all bright and shiny yesterday and then cooked dinner...so much for that task...

In answer to Laurie's question, I adore Adirondack alcohol inks and have the entire set of the earthy colors and then Leslie discovered them also...They are a dye-based alcohol ink that work on glass, cloth, metal and most anything... They are in tiny bottles but you just use a drop. I have used them a lot and have yet to finish a bottle. Then Leslie brought the new Light and Bright colors as well and brought them to the retreat and I had to have them too. And the names for the colors are wonderful... Who can resist watermelon, pesto and cranberry as color options.... They're available at most craft and hobby stores and online at http://www.nonadesigns.com/alcohol.htm. I've even seen them on e-bay. There's a lot of information about their use online and even some cool videos....

  1. Gerry, I can't believe there was no interest in your painted buttons! I haven't been following that long, but I can tell you that I would LOVE to have one of your painted buttons. Maybe you have more followers now and there would be more interest. See what responses you get to this post. I vote button.

  2. I agree with Carol! A button would be great. I must be wasting my ink! It disappears fast. I'll have to study some of that information you mentioned. Congratulations on 700 post! Wow!

  3. Thanks Gerry! I'll definitely look them up! I would think your buttons would be a show in. I thought the same as Carol, with more followers it's worth doing that again. I know I'd go for them, Button. Me too!

  4. Congratulations on your 700th. post. I have enjoyed your blog ever since I started. Must go back to the very beginning and see where I started.

As far as the giveaway I too would die for one of your buttons. Maybe you shold re-think that or give someone a choice of the above or the buttons.
