Lindy's spider block and stumpwork rabbit...

I can see this is going to be one of my favorite RRs. I finished my corner on Lindy's block and tried to leave enough room for four others to work on it. The rabbit is "stumpwork" -- embroidered off the block on felt, cut out, padded and added to the block.... I'm trying this year to explore this technique more...

  1. This is a really pretty corner. The rabbit is fabulous. I love also the blue flower, a delphinium?

  2. Your stumpwork bunny is great, Gerry! I have been perusing here and love all the wildlife pictures - they are just spectacular! (yes, including your "doctored" fish! lol)
It is always a pleasure to visit your blog and see what you have been up to!

  4. This is wonderful, Gerry! You're going to be a tough act to follow!

So that's the secret to catching really big fish: photoshop! The lodge is beautiful. I could happily spend some time there, just for the wildlife.

  6. Oh! I adore that bunny! So sweet! The whole corner of this block is wonderful from the "Spinner's Inn" signpost to the flowers ~ and even the spiderwebs and spiders! (I'm a bit of spider-phobe, so these elements aren't usually my favorite but I do like the way these became small elements on this block!)
